  1. 2:26 — Dude, what are you doing here? Govee makes individual smart outlets with 15A rating just like the Kasa. You intentionally bought their lighter model and then trashed it, but you’re comparing apples to oranges.  Seems like you’re intentionally trying to drum up drama to make your video appear to have more valuable insight.

Also, if you did your search on the Govee, you’d know that there is no danger or risk of something “blowing up” if you plugged in a 11-12A appliance. It will automatically switch off if it the amperage exceeds the limit. I have the 15A Govee, and it atomically trips if I draw too much power, and it even sends me a notification on my phone. Lastly, my 15A Govees are each single outlet design, but they are rectangular unlike the 10A circle ones you demoed, so mine can fit perfectly stacked on one outlet without blocking each other.

13:29 — I have never seen so many unnecessary menus for Govee setup, and I have set up over 10 of them in my own house. You literally just press the “+” button on the app while you’re next to the plug, and then you can name it, and it automatically connects to your wifi. That’s it. There are not pages of screens to navigate at all, so I’m not sure what you were doing there.

  2. I’ve been using smart plugs for years…literally. Using reliable ammeters, none…not one!…of the 15a plugs can handle 15 amps, and most can’t handle 10 amps for over 5 minutes. I bought a 20 amp outlet (lasted a year and then bought another…both dead and no longer sold) and these would handle around 12 amps. The ratings on these plugs are pure fiction…I wish you had done some actual testing before making this video…with space heaters and high draw appliances. I’ve used almost all of these brands and the ratings are…well…over rated.
