  1. ADT is the worst security company I’ve dealt with. I was an ADT customer for over 10 years with an older analog system and never had a single problem. After moving to another state last year, I signed up again and was given their newer digital system—and it has been a complete disaster.
Since February, the system has failed 2–3 times every month. The smoke alarm has gone off three times in the middle of the night for no reason, including once at 2 a.m., where I finally had enough and smashed the alarm off my ceiling just to stop it.

I’ve also gone through three keypads, all of which failed. The keypad ADT kept replacing it with is awful—low-resolution, poorly designed, not intuitive, and nothing like the clean, modern keypads ADT advertises or shows in videos, Like you’re showing in this video. This system is a massive downgrade from what I had before. Unreliable equipment, constant failures, and endless frustration. I would not recommend ADT.
