Are Lutron switches still the heavyweight champion in 2024? This is the question I want to tackle in this video. We have heard about Lutron Caseta and Diva switches being the best on the market…but with all the competition, we need to assess if it is worth still using these switches today.
I am going to outfit my smart home setup with Lutron and we are going to find out together!

What about colored light fixtures/bulbs. Id like many of my lights to be both RGB and White ranges. What would you recommend for that in the Lutron range?
What a bullshit drama clickbait title and thumbnail.
Some advantages you don’t mention about the protocol being used is that because it’s a lower frequency, it tends to have better range. Lower frequencies travel further and work better through walls but are slower and carry less data. The slower and less data isn’t an issue for this application but the better range is definitely helps with reliability. Also, because they do not use wifi, they only use one IP address on your home network for the hub which is good if you plan on adding several automated devices.
The fade in/out effects look nice, but I heard that they only work when you press the physical switch. I’m installing in a theater room and really want the lights to come up/down over a short time – like 5 seconds.
Is there any way to set that up with just the Lutron app and HomeKit? I want to use a Siri command to control it.
How many can u install in a home? Let’s say u have 4 bedrooms…4 bathrooms…living room..den…basement..garage…..maybe 15-20 switches….can this system support that is a large home? Not sure if range of this hub aka RF system.
