Just wanted to throw this out there…A lot of professional camera installers will ask me why Hikvision & Dahua are NOT on this list, as many of them still use those 2 brands. Neither Hikvision or Dahua are NDAA compliant and are directly on the banned list, so that’s an automatic disqualification for me. When it comes to the professional grade level, NDAA compliance is a must in my eyes.
George, just starting out with a home camera system and I have decided to go with the Reolink Home Hub Pro. one of the reasons I’m doing this is that I live in a split level and it would be a real bitch to get cable out there, so I’m going wifi. I am an engineer and I have a fair amount of experience with wifi and I am comfortable with this form factor. I will have two 1000VA/600W Lithium UPS Battery Backups, one for wifi and one for the hub, so the worry about power loss is mute. The one question I have is there anything else I have to consider. I know you like wired over wifi, but is that just because of the loss of power issue or is there something else I should be concerned about?

what about Backstreet Surveillance they are more expensive but the seem to have better quality and warranty
